Dr. Cutting provides patient centered care for any and all musculoskeletal complaints. My goal is to help you take control of your health so you can live the best version of your life. This involves a thorough assessment, diagnosis and treatment plan tailored to your individual needs and goals. I specialize in advanced manual therapy techniques, which includes spinal and extremity mobilization and/or adjustments as well as soft tissue therapy. Manual therapy aims to restore your body’s optimal biomechanics. Additionally, any good treatment plan should include some active involvement from you the patient. I aim to build a therapeutic alliance with you to improve your body’s performance whether that is your mobility, strength, sport performance, flexibility, or overall longevity of function in general. Although Chiropractors are typically known as being experts at treating ailments related to the spine, I also treat any concerns related to the hips, knees, ankles, shoulders, elbows, or wrists.

Melissa graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 2006. She became certified in acupuncture in 2015. She has worked in private orthopedic clinics since 2006.

Melissa has a strong interest in orthopedics and acupuncture. She is dedicated to assessing movement dysfunction and muscle imbalances, and utilizes her manual skills and acupuncture to restore biomechanical movement and improve her client’s symptoms. She believes it is important to educate clients on their condition, and on how to maintain and make further gains on their own at home with exercises, postural/positional changes, and modifications to daily activity.

She continues to take post-education courses to increase her knowledge and clinical skills; these courses have included myofascial release courses, orthopedic level system courses, and acupuncture. She has a special interest in shoulders and has focused in the recent years on expanding her knowledge and treatment strategies. That being said, she enjoys treating all areas of the body, and you can come see her for any musculoskeletal pain or injuries.

Outside of the clinic, you will often find Melissa at one of the hockey rinks or ball diamonds with her children. She loves spending time with her family outdoors, especially at the lake in the summer. She enjoys running, strengthening in the gym, and going for bike rides.
